CMB Resources Pty Ltd was established in October 2015, in a joint collaboration between VCS Holdings and the Taylor family. At CMB Resources (CMB), we specialise in working predominately with mining companies who recognise the benefits that can be obtained by working with Indigenous participation where there is a need for increased production, Indigenous involvement and cost
                                                                                                         reduction associated with using contractors.

CMB has been established to capitalise on the indigenous contracting opportunities in the mining and mechanical services fields within Western Australia. The flow on benefits will impact communities that will enhance quality of life.

Indigenous Credentials
The Taylor family are members of the Nyamal language group who live in the Jinparinya Community. This community has a perpetual lease that was awarded to Peter Coppin, the families’ grandfather, for his services in the community as an Aboriginal leader.

The company was named after members of the Taylor family, Mother Charmaine, Sister Mariah and Father and Son, Barry. CMB Resources is a family business who works closely together to achieve successful outcomes for the client and community.

The Taylor family have strong cultural ties to the land and continue to practice their lore, culture and language.

Key Activities
CMB have experienced personnel to provide extensive mining, civil and earthwork and rehabilitation solutions to our clients and have the capacity and capability of providing fit for purpose mining, civil and plant and personnel. CMB, in collaboration with VCS can provide:

Mine Support Services:
CMB can provide a variety of services including maintenance of haulage and access roads, construction services including decant towers, structure footings, drainage structures, rail embankment repairs, rail crossings and intersection works.

Rehabilitation:
CMB personnel have extensive experience in rehabilitation projects throughout Western Australia which have included tailings storage facilities, new rail formations, pushing down ROM batters and topsoil respreading, some of which have occurred in environmentally sensitive areas.

Civil Works:
CMB provides experienced, efficient and effective civil construction services, capable of undertaking projects in a safe and timely manner to satisfy our client’s health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.

Mining:
CMB have experienced personnel to provide comprehensive mining solutions to our clients. VCS’s mining capabilities include all forms of open cut mining including drill and blast operations, mining with surface mining units, load and haul operations with excavator, shovel and loader, and fixed and mobile crushing and screening operations.

Facilities and Services
CMB have established offices in Perth, Maddington, and Port Hedland. We have an extensive database of indigenous people and specialists that are working with us at present or have worked with in the past and that have indicated a desire to work with us again and are available for immediate work opportunities.


A Joint Venture between CMB Resources and Benchmark Recruitment. They offer a complete service including Permanent Placements, Labour Hire, Shutdown Manning, Project Management and Specialised Minesite and Offshore Requirements. Together with our maintenance division for all commercial, industrial and mining facilities makes us a one stop shop for all your Construction & Maintenance requirements.

Pronounced "Yarra" in the Thanakwithi Language, Great Frigatebirds (Fregata minor) and lesser Frigatebirds (fregata ariel) are totem birds of the central Thanakwithi People. They spend the daylight hours fishing at sea, returning at sunset to roost on land.

CMB Resources is a fully integrated multidisciplinary provider of mining, civil, crushing, maintenance and plant services to the mining and civil construction sector owned by VCS Holdings Pty Ltd which is made up by the CarVal Group and Silverthorne Trust. CMB provides the Australian civil and mining sectors with a complete self-perform service from design and construct of civil projects, open pit mining and crushing services as well as wet and dry hire plant, equipment and maintenance solutions, backed by a comprehensive, fully owned and operated fleet. The comprehensive fleet of modern and well maintained mining equipment is supported from its Centre in Maddington WA which provides logistics, transport and specialized maintenance support.

Yarr Enterprise

Yarr Enterprise was established in January 2016. Yarr Enterprise Owners consist of Locals who have lived in the area for 3+ years and Traditional Owner of the Thanakwithi Group. Yarr Resources have a vested interest in insuring local people both indigenous and non-indigenous are given first priority for employment and engagement as small business’s. Yarr Enterprise is committed to the training and development of our younger generation with Yarr Enterprise has been established to capitalize on the indigenous contracting opportunities in the Mining and Mechanical services fields of Mining, Civil, Construction, Road and Maintenance within Northern Queensland. The flow on benefits will impact communities through employment and training opportunities that will enhance quality of life.
