Welcome to VCS Group

Victoria Community Support Group, or VCS, is founded in the City of Greater Dandenong, which is the most culturally diverse community in Victoria and Australia, with 64 per cent of its population born overseas. Most of VCS staff are of the first or second generation of immigrants who are keen and well-equipped to support with people with disabilities and/or mental health issues of the CALD (culturally and linguistically diverse) community. Our staff can speak multiple languages such as English, Vietnamese, Chinese and Thai.

VCS is passionate to provide support to NDIS participants who experience life-long conditions to thrive above and beyond their diagnosis. We aim to achieve our goals by offering a range of support to assist with building the participants’ sense of belonging to their local community. We believe that, this will help to improve our participants’ confidence, self-trust and motivation which are the foundation of skills development.

How We Can Help…

We have support workers who can play, do exercises, and coach you to improve your sport skills and promote your physical health; including badminton, tennis, table tennis, swimming, yoga, etc.

We facilitate groups to support children and young people to improve their fine and gross motor skills as well as communication skills via playing cooperative board games.

We organise groups for people with disabilities and/or mental health issues to take part in social activities just like anyone without a diagnosis, such as going to a movie/circus/zoo/museum/aquarium/etc., indoor and outdoor workshops/events.

We provide house cleaning, minor home maintenance and gardening service, to help our participants to maintain an appropriate and safe living environment.

Our support worker, who is qualified chef, can tailor menu according to your dietary needs and cultural backgrounds. We offer 1:1 session to assist our participants to completely feel comfortable and confident to plan, shop and cook healthy and delicious meals for themselves.
